A heavier dose of Hershey is what’s in store
One of the first customers through our door when we opened our store in June wasted no time sharing her opinion that we didn’t have a deep-enough selection of Hershey tees.
I would have preferred that she focus on the store aesthetic, which we had spent the previous months fine-tuning.
But she wasn’t wrong.
I explained to her that we had spent the previous six-plus years mostly on the road, popping up at shows outside of Hershey.
Sure, we had participated for six summers in the weekly Market on Chocolate in downtown Hershey. But otherwise, we were on the move from week to week, from Harrisburg to York to Lancaster, with occasional stops in State College, Wrightsville, Carlisle, etc.
Hershey has always been our home, but we spread our limited resources so that we could offer tee designs beyond the border of Hershey.
New designs
Now that we have a year-round presence in Hershey, we’ve been beefing up our selection of Hershey designs.
We’ve already brought back a couple of original designs, including a revamped Avenues of Hershey Tee and The Chocolate Town Tee during the summer.
Next up, we’re printing more of our Hockey Night in Hershey (in short- and long-sleeve versions) and Hershey Trojans tees. And we’re introducing two new designs:
Hershey Chocolate and Cocoa Tee, featuring one of America’s most iconic intersections;
Home Sweet Hershey, available as a tee, sticker and magnet.
We’ll have all of these items in our store and at Choctoberfest, Oct. 12 in downtown Hershey. (Our store will be closed on Oct. 12.)
Always feel free to let us know what you think of our offerings. We’re entirely open to suggestions, whether for more Hershey products or something altogether different.
And if you come by the store, we won’t be offended if you say nice things about its aesthetic.
